This was at the Humphry Slocomb booth at the Ferry Building.

I was reminded of the character "Doc" in Cannery Row, who stopping for a break on a road trip indulges years-long curiosity and orders a beer milkshake.

Anyway, it was unusual (actually a tad salty) but pretty good.

I don't think there was any alcohol left in it, but we got there and back by transit anyway.

And if my kids' reaction is any guide, I don't think anyone under 21 would be remotely tempted by this!
