Birds and Busses ~ Sunday, January 03, 2021
We took a quick and minimal-contract trip up north to the Sacramento Valley National Wildlife Refuge, near Williams, CA.

Seeing--and hearing--thousands of geese take off together at sunset is pretty amazing. Plus we saw a bald eagle!
Williams is also on the California Northern, a shortline railway operating on former SP tracks, and I got to see a few trains go by.
South of town is a lot full of old busses. I found a few Muni veterans (one signed 10 Monterey, which I used to ride to school--but on newer busses than that!) and one in national Coach Lines livery, but I haven't worked out which city yet.
