Another Hobby Shop Closed ~ Friday, August 24, 2012

Trackside Trains was originally a fairly large, almost completely N Scale hobby shop (with a few tidbits of rarer scales like HOn3 and S) in Burlingame/Millbrae, CA. It had walls of details and rare parts (a very long time ago I picked up some PE Model Supply poles and pans there). Eventually it shrunk a bit, and a few years ago moved to a much smaller space in Menlo Park, CA--In the back of a flower shop, actually (a family connection, perhaps), but was still worth a visit. I just discovered that it's gone now; actually, so is the flower shop. The website says "It's been fun! Due to circumstances beyond my control the store is permanently closed".
