New free Books from 1923 ~ Thursday, April 11, 2019

As you have likely heard elsewhere, 2019 is a good year for fans of vintage culture, since after a long hiatus new material (films, books, whatever) is finally escaping copyright and entering the public domain. Each year we will now get one more year of material, and this year we get 1923. This has opened up lots of good movies (we recently saw Buster Keaton's "Our Hospitality") for royalty-free screenings, and Project Gutenberg has been uploading a lot of newly-liberated literature.

Today I just noticed P. G. Wodehouse's The Inimitable Jeeves, which I will shortly be reading.
