Last night we went to the Stanford Theatre (for the month of October they have a great program of spooky movies; we saw The Old Dark House, a spooky/funny/weird-ass movie), and a Tatra auto (with a Tatra beer bottle on the dash) was parked in front.
It's not a make of car you see much around here. Aside from just looking cool, it's historically interesting because the original VW beetle was a knockoff of a 1930's Tatra design.
Tatra trams, cars, and (I assume) beer are from separate companies, all named for the Tatra mountains in Czechoslovakia (in the part which is now Slovakia).
